I use a mini digital camera as my second camera, whenever I am on trips and need to take quick images. Families can use a mini digital camera to take images of family events at a picnic, on the beach and birthdays. It is easy to use whenever you need quick images, without the need to fiddle with a myriad of adjustments to the camera.
I end up giving a mini digital camera to some of my family friends as a gift on their birthday. Especially the younger friends, like children and teens. This is an ideal first camera. There are not too many bells and whistles to confuse the non–professional.
It looks like the mini digital camera has replaced the compact film cameras and disposable film cameras. And you do not have to have a dedicated camera anymore, you can use the mini digital camera in your mobile phone to take pictures.
You may be traveling in the middle of nowhere and you see a beautiful scene. You do not have the time to go to your camera bag and take out your digital camera. You can reach for the mobile phone and take the picture and look at the image again when you have time to relax in your hotel room.
Whenever I am on trips, in case I need a quick image, I always carry a mini digital camera.
