Once you take an image with your digital camera, it is only the initial image. You can then take advantage of endless possibilities to manipulate the image on your computer.
You can take out the red eye in portraits, adjust the lighting, change the colours, add text and add bits of other images to the final image. Once you are happy with the final image, you can then say you know how to use digital image processing to get the image you want.
